IBM and M7 to host Cloud Event in Cardiff

ith the increasing interest in Cloud based IT solutions, IBM and M7, in conjunction with the Software Alliance Wales (SAW), are holding a business briefing aimed at SMEs and local government in South Wales on February 16th 2011. The venue is the Millennium Centre in Cardiff and the agenda will include a presentation from e-Crime Wales on how to avoid putting your IT Systems at risk.

There will also be a presentation on the opportunities and challenges created for SMEs, by the growth in Social Networks. IBM presentations will include their Smarter Planet insight on how forward-thinking leaders in business, government and civil society around the world are capturing the potential of smarter systems to achieve economic growth, near-term efficiency, sustainable development and societal progress.

Also covered will be the launch of their Cloud Computing lab in the UK and what the company is doing in Wales to enable cloud based solutions for their mid-market customers. As the economy begins to grow again and businesses review their internal risks, business recovery requirements have come to the forefront for many companies. M7 will be demonstrating how easy it is to avoid a server failure or computer room disaster stopping your business whilst meeting auditors’ requirements for business continuity.
